How to maintain stainless steel letter boxes
Letter boxes, newspaper boxes and stands from BURG-WÄCHTER made of high-quality stainless steel are extremely weather resistant and durable. Stainless steel is a refined product of nature that is durable for decades without any varnish. Therefore, BURG-WÄCHTER has not decided for an additional varnish for its letter boxes.
All welded joints have been completely removed during an elaborate grinding process. At hard-to-reach places in the roof and hatch area, exclusively stainless steel rivets are used.
Should there be indications of rust on the surface, it is only flash rust that comes not from the material itself.
These airborne particles are through cleaning of the letter box – vigorous rubbing – easy to remove.
In general with stainless steel, please avoid the contact with other materials to prevent corrosion damages.
Please do only use the provided stainless steel screws for the assembly.

Long-term care tip:
The stainless steel surface will stay shiny for many years if it is cleaned with a stainless steel cleaner several times a year.
