BURG-W\u00c4CHTER Group, Wetter (Ruhr), has acquired 100 per cent of the shares in Sterling Locks Limited, Leeds (UK), from the former shareholders. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n
BURG-W\u00c4CHTER Group, Wetter (Ruhr), is a family run corporation with a heritage of over 90 years. The company is an internationally renowned manufacturer of letter boxes, electronic and mechanical locks, door and window security, safes and cash boxes. BURG-W\u00c4CHTER develops its products exclusively in Germany and maintains production facilities in Germany, Eastern Europe and China. The Group sells its products worldwide via DIY, locksmiths and specialised hardware stores.<\/p>\n
Sterling Locks, Leeds, established in 1987, is one of UK\u2019s leading resellers of locks, as well as letter boxes and cash boxes. The products are mainly sold to private customers via DIY chains.<\/p>\n
In the future, Sterling Locks Limited will operate as an independent company within the BURG-W\u00c4CHTER-Group. The long standing Managing Director, Anthony P. Kelly will continue to lead Sterling Locks Limited. With this acquisition BURG-W\u00c4CHTER significantly increases its footprint in the UK market for physical and electronic hardware security products.<\/p>\n
