(www.mercure-balsa.fr), Pont-sur-Sambre (France), from the former shareholders. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>BURG-W\u00c4CHTER Group, Wetter (Ruhr), is a family run corporation with a heritage of over 90 years. The company is an internationally renowned manufacturer of letter boxes, electronic and mechanical locks, door and window security, safes and cash boxes. BURG-W\u00c4CHTER develops its products exclusively in Germany and maintains production facilities in Germany, Eastern Europe and China. The Group sells its products worldwide via DIY, locksmiths and specialised hardware stores.<\/p>\n<p>The acquired BALSA Group consists of BALSA S.\u00e0.r.l. and SODIJEG S.\u00e0.r.l., Pont-sur-Sambre (France) and is a national leader in the manufacturing of free-standing letter boxes and letter box systems made of metal and wood. Free-standing letter boxes are mainly sold to private customers via DIY chains; letter box systems are distributed to the building and building services industries. Its products are well known under the \u201cBALSA\u201d and \u201cMERCURE\u201d brand names.
