Oslo letterbox – optionally available with a newspaper box

Simple but still elegant: the stainless steel Oslo letterbox is extremely unobtrusive thanks to its very slim design so that its blends in perfectly with the entrance area. The stainless steel that is used is extremely weatherproof and rust-free. The Oslo letterbox has a transparent coating as extra protection. To ensure that you get many years of enjoyment from your Oslo model – which is, incidentally, “Made in Germany” too.

Safely holds mail up to size DIN C4

The letterbox slot is 254 x 30 millimetres. This guarantees that mailings up to a size of 229 x 324 millimetres safely find a place in the Oslo letterbox. This corresponds to the size DIN C4. And the letterbox obviously complies with the European standard EN 13724. This demands not only a maximum size but also sufficient space for the mail as well as protection against moisture.

Water simply runs of the sloping flap

Talking of protection against moisture: the Oslo letterbox earns double the points here: the sloping flap that protrudes over the sides and front protects the slot and allows water to drain off easily. What’s more, the opening stop means that you mail will never fall onto wet ground again. Because this prevents the letterbox flap from being fully opened. Letters and other mail can thus be comfortably removed with only one hand, which is all you need to then close the letterbox again.

Oslo set with a stainless steel newspaper box

Anyone who subscribes to a regular newspaper or magazine will not want to be without a newspaper box. This is included in the Oslo set. Of course, the newspaper box is made of stainless steel too and therefore rust-free and long-lasting. It gives you immediate access to your daily newspaper without having to open the letterbox. How to care for your stainless steel letterbox

Letterboxes, newspaper boxes and letterbox stands from BURG-WÄCHTER of high-class stainless steel are extremely weatherproof and long lasting. All weld residues have been completely removed by a complex grinding process. Only stainless steel rivets have been used at those points in the roof and flap areas that are difficult to access.

A rust film can be removed quite easily

If rust nevertheless appears on the surface, this is simply a rust film that does not originate from inside the material. These airborne particles can be removed quite easily by cleaning the letterbox - rub vigorously.

Please avoid permanent contact between stainless steel and other metals so as to prevent any damage from corrosion. Use only the enclosed stainless steel screws for the installation.

Long-term care tip for stainless steel

The stainless steel surface will remain shiny for many years to come if it is cleaned several times a year with a special stainless steel cleaner such as "Stahl fix".
